Getting directions (G10 snaps by Andrew)
Along the way, we saw one of the coolest things I've ever seen. A pretty big monitor lizard crossing the street. Andrew happened to be recording as it happened, so here's a quick 15 second clip of it (looks terrible on Youtube unless you choose the "high quality" option). I immediately jump off my bike and two local thai guys help me try to find it. I wanted to catch it so badly but it was already gone. Even still, being as obsessed with reptiles as I have been my whole life, it was quite a site :)
After that, we found a really good thai restaurant right on the beach (the chairs and table were in the sand). We ordered our food, went and swam in the ocean, then came back in and our food was ready. So cool! We went back out for more beach searching...

We headed off looking for more beaches when we saw a huge elephant crossing the road. Amazing. Then we drove farther and saw a couple more with their owners and... a TINY BABY!!! We immediately parked our scooters and asked if we could pet it. Her name is Nadia and the owners let us hang out with her for like a half hour! Honestly, one of the best experiences of my life. She kept kissing my face, pulling on my ear, and all this other cute stuff. Priceless experience...
We took off for more beaches and got heavily rained on again :) This time we just pulled over at the first drop and waited it out.

After that we ended up on Kata Beach. One couple was there when we walked down this pathway but they left soon after. We had this entire beach to ourselves! Dane and Andrew practiced their photo skills out on lindsay and I :) The last two are Dane's (Andrew hasn't loaded his up yet)...
So as we said when we were here last time... Thailand is an AMAZING place to visit! Definitely go if you ever get the chance :)
