Africa day 7: Gotta finish this!

Man, I'm backed up on posting our travels in Africa! For those just coming on board here at the blog, you can check out all my africa posts here ;)

Anyways, today (Tue, May 25th) we left Olifants lodge here at Kruger National Park and headed back toward Skukuza. On our way we stopped at the Letaba lodge to see if we could book a night at Skukuza :)

As we left the Letaba lodge, we saw this adorable little guy!

He's a scops owl and is about the size of my hand (literally). He was amazing!

We had no idea the garden of Eden was in Kruger! So many animals in this little spot :D

It doesn't get much better than baby elephants, does it?

This might be my favorite shot/moment from the whole trip. I mean, how often does one get to see a lion staring down dinner?!

This spot was so flippin' peaceful. I could have stayed here for hours and hours...

At Skukuza, they only had ONE room available. It was the mansion! We had no choice so we grabbed it :) It was probably a 3000 sq. ft. house and here was our view at sunset from our back yard...

One more post and I think there'll be no more Africa :( Oh well, looks like we'll just have to go back, I guess :P

Owls creep me out for some reason, don't know why. They're too wise for me :P

That Garden of Eden pic is absolutely bananas. How lucky are you guys to have seen all that?!?

WOW 3, 4, 6 and 7 I love!

And you're doing much better than I am - I still haven't finished my Antarctica/Sth America trip and I've been home since February!

Hey Bobby,

What processing do you do to add the wonderful film like noise to your images?

Wow you guys were lucky to see all the animals. I lived in the Lowveld(on the border of the Kruger) almost all my life. Not a lot of people are fortunate enough to see all those animals on their trip. Did you guys go to Cape Town on your SA trip?
