Well whenever I get emailed about doing one on one workshops with photographers, I usually respond with "how about you take us to dinner and you can pick our brain there?" This mixes several things that I love: hanging out, photography talk, and my favorite foods :)
Recently we've had dinner with a bunch of awesome photographers -- Katie Yates and Char Baiz being ones with blogs (love these two) -- and last night, Rhiona and Ricky.
We met these two last month when Rhiona told me that she's been waiting to get engaged so she could have an excuse to book us. How sweet is that?! We're shooting her wedding next May, but in talking about photography and life, she's decided that she wants to take her love for photography to another level. That's where dinner and brain picking came in.

(To add to that, when I ask "what time is the wedding at?" Rhiona says "when do you want us get married?" - in regard to the best time for the light. Talk about a perfect bride. Fellow photographers, you know what I'm talking about.)
Anyways, I learned from DJ that sharing with other photographers is so much better than hoarding what you know out of fear of competition (thanks deej!). I'm not comfortable yet with doing proper photography mentor sessions - maybe soon enough - but I'm totally down with trading dinner for brain picking! I'll see if we can do maybe one or two of these a month -- so if you want to take us to dinner, with no questions being off the table, just email me with "DINNERTIME" in the subject.
Obviously, people who want to go to Ruth's Chris or Donovan's will get to cut to the front of the line :P

ever since i heard of you from andy and emily fleming (great friends!) i have been OBSESSED with checking your pictures every single day! my oh my, and one day i WILL take you and your lovely lindsay out to a great feast! in return for a photo brain picking feast of my own of course :)
